Alice Jones

ALICE JONES, affectionately known as "Coot", was born December 24, 1939 to the late Raymond and Rafare Jones. She attended school in Donalsonville, Georgia. Alice accepted CHRIST in her life at an early age and joined Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Then she returned to her roots at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. She served dutifully and faithfully. Her gift for singing and advisement were her joy. Alice Jones departed her earthly life on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Christeen Jones of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Michael Jones of Bainbridge, Georgia and John Jones of Conway, South Carolina; two daughters-in-law, Dandi Jones of Bainbridge, Georgia and Carmella Jones of Conway, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Irena Jones of Donalsonville, Georgia; two sisters-in-law, Maggie Lee Jones of Bainbridge, Georgia and Thelma Britty of Donalsonville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
