Annie Meral Edwards Cohen Davis was born in Quitman, Brooks County, Georgia, on May 17, 1938, the daughter of the late Only and Thelma Edwards. She was the first child of six siblings; two of whom, Leonard L. Edwards and Lillian E. Poke, preceded her in death.
Annie Meral accepted CHRIST as her SAVIOR at an early age, joining Nelson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was an active member for over sixty years, singing in the Gospel Choir and serving as a Stewardess and member of the Lay Organization and Missionary Society.
