Betty Jean Wells

MS. BETTY JEAN WELLS was born on August 10, 1944 to the late Mr. Frank Wells and Mrs. Willie Mae Scott. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Betty received her education at Hutto High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. She accepted CHRIST as her PERSONAL SAVIOR early in life and joined First African Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years on the Usher Board until her health failed. Betty was preceded in death by her son, Willie Wells; three sisters: Lillie Mae Henderson, Viola Wells, and Dollie Mae Lindsey; and three brothers: Robert Scott Jr., Arthur Lee Wells, and Ulysee Wells. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Shirley Wells Alexander of Miami, FL; a granddaughter, Miss Sandria Wells of Miami, FL; a devoted sister who cared for her during her illness, Ms. Catherine Fountain of Bainbridge, GA; a loving brother, Mr. Alonso Wells of Bainbridge, GA; a special nephew, Mr. Charlie Fountain Jr. of Bainbridge, GA; a devoted friend, Mr. Nathan Baulkman of Bainbridge, GA; one whom she considered a son, Greg Moss of Miami, FL; special friends, Ms. Valnesia Glenn and Mrs. Charlene Close, both of Bainbridge, GA; a close family friend, Ms. Elizabeth English of Palm Beach, Florida; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins and friends.
