Charles E. Thomas, Pee Wee

December 9, 1953 — July 2, 2014

Charles was born December 9, 1953 to the union of Louise Thomas and Albert Thomas Sr. in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was one of six children blessed to this union. His parents and one brother preceded him in death. Charles attended Bainbridge High School, graduating in the Class of 1972. In 1972 after graduation, he moved to Miami, Florida. Pee Wee became a Longshoreman at Local 1416, 816 N.W. 2nd Avenue, where he was employed for twenty-three years. This occupation afforded him great opportunities and a myriad of experience in the workforce. Pee Wee touched the lives of many through his smile and generous nature. He maintained his trademark sense of humor. He did it his way, and his way remained intact throughout his lifetime. He loved helping other people, which brought him much enjoyment. On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, our beloved Pee Wee exchanged this earthly life for life eternal. Cherished memories of Pee Wee remain with those whom he loved and who loved him, including his son, Kelvin Thomas; three brothers: Rance Thomas, Louis Thomas, and Albert Thomas Jr.; one sister, Bertha Thomas-Love; and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many, many friends.
