David "Baby Lewis" Green

David Lewis Green (better known as “Baby Lewis”), age 75, was born September 22, 1947, in Bainbridge, Georgia, to  Mr. George and Mrs. Madis Green.  He was raised by his mother and the late Mr. John and Mrs. Rebecca Frederick after his father was accidentally killed.

David Lewis attended Hutto High School and later attained his General Equivalency Diploma (GED).  He joined the United States Job Corps in Texas and completed a certification for welding.  He worked as a laborer at Eagles Chicken Plant and Web City Warehouse.  He later owned and operated Florence Grocery Store for many years.

He attended Union Missionary Baptist Church in his earlier years and enjoyed studying the Word of GOD.  He also loved to spend time with his family and friends.

David Lewis departed his earthly life to go Home to be with his SAVIOR on Saturday, December 10, 2022.  He was predeceased by his parents George Green and Madis Florence, his stepfather Zema Florence, his brothers Jesse Green and George H. McCloud, and his sisters Myrtis McGriff, Gracie Mae Gordon and Fleta Green-Burroughs.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories one son, David Stepney (Natasha) of Bainbridge; one stepdaughter, Teresa Tate (Lorenzo) of Bainbridge; two stepsons, Cedrick Walker of Toledo, Ohio, and Jonathan Evans of Bainbridge; two sisters: Sarah Hicks of Los Angeles, California, Betty Donalson of Syracuse, New York; three brothers: Charles Green (Beulah) of Rochester, New York, George Green (Cheryl) of Syracuse, New York, and Jimmie Brown of Bainbridge; four grandchildren: Davonte Stepney, LaQuishia Bouie (Quinton Jr.), Diamond Moran (Chris), and Malik Tate; four great grandchildren: LaReina Wilson, Tristan Parks, Logan Bouie, and Parker Bouie; his best friend, Curtis Odell King Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
