Jonas W. George

Jonas Wilson George was born on April 2, 1948, in Donalsonville, Georgia, to the Late Cora Lee and Stephen George Sr.  He was the second of three children.

Jonas accepted JESUS CHRIST as SAVIOR in his life.  He joined Mount Pisgah African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age.

Jonas met and married the former Vera Shorter, who preceded him in death.  To their union one child was born.

Jonas worked as a Farmer for most of his life.  He lived out his last few days at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, Georgia.

Jonas received the Call from THE MASTER to take his Eternal Rest on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.  He will be missed by his loved ones.  He was preceded in death by his only brother, Stephen George Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Stacey Ogunleye of Cuthbert, Georgia; four grandkids: Wanda George, Tyrique George, Skye George, and Donnell Wise; one devoted sister, Corine George of Blakely, Georgia; and a host other relatives and friends.
