Ollie Mae Clark

OLLIE MAE CLARK was born October 12, 1916 to the late Andrew and Bula Johnson. She departed her earthly life on Friday, January 16, 2015. Ollie accepted CHRIST as her Personal SAVIOR and joined First African Baptist Church at an early age. She moved to Cleveland, Ohio and lived there for forty years. In 1984 she returned to Bainbridge, Georgia and reunited with First African Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend A. L. Thompson Sr. She was a member of the Mission In Action and served faithfully until her health failed. Ollie married James Clark, who preceded her in death. Though she only had one daughter, Ollie lived to see five generations of her offsprings; she was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and great-great-great grandmother. Ollie Clark only received her elementary education, but she earned her master's degree in KING JESUS. She knew the Bible through and through, and there isn't anything in the Bible that she didn't know about. She always instilled in all her offsprings that in whatever job title you held, to do good. She was a grandmother to all. And she loved to walk; she said that kept her young. One daughter, Valrie Kirksey Jordan, two sisters, Arena Jones and Willie Mae Smiley, and one brother, Jimmy Johnson, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing and carry on her legacy a devoted sister, Nora Handsford of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren: Valnesia Glenn, Thomas Kirksey Sr., both of Bainbridge, Georgia, Rosalind Royal (Victor) of Tennille, Georgia, Phyllis Taylor (Adam), and Zachary Green, both of Sandersville, Georgia; nineteen great grands; thirty-one great-great grands, and nine great-great-great grands; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
