Vasti "Redd" Hudson

Vasti “Redd” Hudson was born on June 20, 1920, in Chipley, Florida.  His mother was the late Fannie Mae Masalini.

He accepted CHRIST as his personal SAVIOR at an early age.  He later joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Brinson, Georgia, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Cleveland Sanders.  Vasti remained a member of Antioch until his demise.

Vasti moved to Bainbridge, Georgia, in 1996.  He later married Della Mae Hudson.  “Redd” was a fun-loving and caring family man.

At the age of 101, Vasti departed his earthly life for his heavenly home on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his wife Della Mae and two devoted nieces Jeanette Pittman and Edna Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories two devoted daughters, Dorothy McNeal (Henry) and Margaret Simmons, both of Bainbridge, Georgia; four sons: Walter Fudge of Bainbridge, Alvin Fudge of North Carolina, Willie C. Bowden (Katherine) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Samuel Thomas (Pat) of Fort Pierce, Florida; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
